Thyroid (The Finale)

November 28th Came and it was time to get this beautiful knot out of my Neck.

Here is a picture of the before (you can see it well in this picture):
The Surgery was scheduled for 11:30......I FINALLY was rolled back at 1. (Starving)
It was a success! I lost the left side of my thyroid as they took out a a golf ball size knot out of that side. I was able to keep my right side with the hopes that it will overtake the function of the thyroid and I won't have to go onto medication. I'll have to get tested every 6 Months to make sure my Thyroid is functioning, but other than that, the ordeal is over!

I cannot thank my husband, my parents, and my in-laws for their incredible help with the boys. I never had to worry about them....they were very spoiled!

(As a side note, he is wearing a "Fever Bug", these things are awesome!)

Meeting his New Buddy Luke Parker
Sleep: Ah-Oh. I knew it would happen. All this bragging I have done! Matthew is finally paying back all the nights of snoozing all night long! Due to a little tooth and a pesky cough, Matthew has been waking up at least once a night. By the time us heavy sleepers realize he is awake....he is WIDE awake. So a diaper change and feeding is always required. It is a good thing he is so cute!  (I don't always feel this way....but most of the time, I actually don't mind getting up with him. I usually take that time to pray and am thankful that I have a baby to wake up for!)

Nutrition: Milk! Eats 6-7 a day. He is now enjoying (although he might not agree with the enjoying aspect of that): Rice Cereal, Oatmeal, Prunes, Sweet Potatoes (LOVES), Carrots (Enjoys), and Peas (HATES--he gags before it even gets to his lips! Big Brother must have taught him that).

Activity: Sits up all by himself. Started getting on all fours. Scoot around trying to get toys and catch up with bro brother.

These Brothers Love Each Other
Milestone: GOT His First Teeth! The Bottom Middle Tooth FINALLY broke through. He is drenched in drool as I type this....I think he is working on some more.

Some Stats:
Diapers: Size 2 / Size 3

"What am I suppose to do with this stuff??"

Happy Halloween!

Days before Halloween we starting practicing "Trick or Treat" with John Michael.
He LOVED playing it. (It probably had everything to do with the M & Ms that we were practicing with!)

We began the afternoon with a party hosted by some of our church friends, the Halls. I didn't get pictures at the party because I was juggling both boys. I did get a picture of John Michael enjoying his party favor though.......

This year John Michael was the Deer Hunter and Matthew was our Bambi! Ben and I enjoyed deciding the boys' costumes and hate the day when we will have to let them have their opinion!

We then headed to our Church. 1st Baptist did a great job and had some many from the community!

We ended the evening with a little sugar high and a good nights rest.......
